The Flatshare: A Novel Novel by Beth O'Leary

 Genre: Chicklit

first thing that amused me is that the author has no wiki page nor has a bigger appearance on the social media. That being said and i don't want to sound judgemental, this is something that sent me into thinking as every person now on the planet who knows internet want to be on the internet!

well, coming to the book, first thing that caught my eye is the writing style. Who book is written in first person between two people our heroine Tiffany and our Hero Leon Towmey. Its definetely different but i got a hang of it after a few tens of pages and started enjoying the journey.

Book proved to be a page turner, although predictable at few places, its a feel warm feel good book that can instantly lighten your mood while being an easy read. It talks about our protagonist tricked in her head of being in love with her ex-boyfriend slowly realizes that it was not love in reality but was an abusive relationship. Probably more weightage could have been given on how to identify an abusive relationship which could have made the book more touching and effective which maintaining the story line.

Story at times seem to be odd because its written in the times of whatsapp and facebook where people really can get in touch iwth each other without even thinking much whereas in hte book, being flatmates and never seeing or talking to each other for 5 months seemed to be very dramatic and unrealistic. Leaving notes and talking through notes for 5 months seems to be obviously a little too much of work to do and impractical. Well, at these times is when you say its just a book and read on!!

The importance of having supportive friends made sense here and i loved highlights on this topic!
